Sett ditt hjerte mot mitt vol. II (Place your heart against mine vol. II)

Produced by Samovarteateret (2020)
November 13th to 17th 2020, we performed our anniversary show "Sett ditt hjerte mott mitt, vol II", in the building which was Samovarteateret's former home, Malmklang. This building was the cultural center of Sør-Varanger municipality until the fire in 2005. Since then, the building has been left empty.
Due to the pandemic, we had to rethink the number of audience members. Malmklang could house up to 125 people while still following the government's rules at that time. We built a large tribune with appropriate space for the audience. Right before the premiere, the government changed the rules, so that only 50 people could appear in the same room. We managed to show our performance, but now only to 50 people at a time.
To act as performers in the anniversary show, we gathered all the freelancers who lost their tour contracts with our productions "Lost in the Horizon" and "De som tapte freden" during the spring of 2020. We also hired our own band in addition to the theatre's own actors and dancers. A technical team made Malmklang a faboulous stage, and a room that the audience almost wouldn't leave after the show. In the end, the our anniversary show turned out very succesful, and recieved thunderous applause.
