Vodka, water and glasnost - a foxtrot for three

We tell the stories of the generation that has lived on both sides of the Norwegian-Russian border - before, during and after WWII.

At the 17th of September 2013 Samovarteateret premiers with the performance "Vodka, water and glasnost - a foxtrot for three".

The performance is based on real stories from a generation that is about to disappear. A generation that has lived on each side of the Norwegian-Russian border - before, during and after WWII. Today the border is more open than ever, we have the Local Border Traffic Permit here in the north, the world has changed. What are the the consequences for the generation that has lived close to the border during all these years?

In the process with the script we have met Norwegian and Russian pensioners who have shared their stories with us. These stories have been processed to new written, scenic text by playwriter Ingeborg Arvola.

"Vodka, water and glasnost - a foxtrot for three" will be touring in Norway and Russia fall 2013.
